Over the past 11 months, Gaza has experienced continuous bombardments, leading to over 40,878 deaths and 94,454 injuries. Around 90% of Gaza’s population has been displaced, with 63% of structures damaged. The healthcare system is near collapse, with no fully operational hospitals and severe shortages of medical supplies. Gender-based violence has increased, malnutrition and health risks for pregnant women are widespread.

In the West Bank, over 691 Palestinians have been killed, and 5,700 injured, with 1,270 attacks by Israeli settlers recorded. Movement restrictions, settler violence, and military operations are obstructing access to essential services and causing severe displacement.

In August 2024, UNFPA delivered essential reproductive health and GBV prevention and response services across Gaza and the West Bank. This included distributing vital SRH equipment and medical supplies, and providing emergency obstetric care through mobile maternity units. UNFPA supported 21,000 individuals with GBV prevention and protection services, reached 990 women, adolescents, and children through youth-led education initiatives, and offered remote counseling services to 449 youth via the Shubbak il Shabab helpline.
