Policy brief reviewing Morocco’s experience with implementing a comprehensive set of evidence-based measures to reduce maternal mortality.  It analyses the development of the maternal mortality strategy, choice of interventions, and the process for implementation and monitoring. Specifically it looks at investments in health facilities, the supply of essential drugs, the availability and skills of doctors and midwives, and the development of procedures for ensuring quality of care, transferring women, and managing obstetric complications.
