TUNIS, Tunisia – Today UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, held the award ceremony for the winners of the ICPD Arab States Media Contest on the sidelines of the Arab Parliamentarians’ Forum in Tunis from 19 to 21 August 2014.
The contest was conducted in the context of the United Nations 20-year review of the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD). Candidates had to submit a media piece (written article or audio/video report) on one or more ICPD related topics in the context of the Arab region.
