The Population Development Composite Index 2020 Report
UNFPA Arab States Regional Office constructed the Population Development Composite Index (PDCI) to quantify the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) Programme of Action implementation progress and reflect the position of Arab countries with regards to the implementation of ICPD based on the Sustainable Development Goals' indicators within the context of the ICPD Beyond 2014 review and the post-2015 development agenda.

UNFPA Regional Situation Report for the Syria Crisis — April 2021
In April 2021, the situation in Syria and the region remains dire and the needs high. The crisis region, which spans the Whole of Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, and Egypt, continues to face a multitude of challenges, particularly in light of the recurrent waves of COVID-19 infections that continue to exacerbate existing challenges. A decade into this protracted crisis, people in need continue to endure the cumulative effects of years of instability, the risks of which are even higher due to the impacts of a far-reaching economic crisis.
