The ‘UNFPA Commitments to Scaling Up Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA)’ document was approved by the UNFPA Humanitarian Steering Committee in December 2020. UNFPA Commitments to scaling up CVA lays out a strategic vision for the next two to five years. The Commitments paper highlights UNFPA previous and ongoing CVA, strategic and programmatic opportunities, and risks of the status quo, and commits UNFPA to evidence-based, flexible, scaled-up CVA as part of SRHR and GBV programming.
