يستعين صندوق الأمم المتحدة للسكان بفن المسرح لتغيير التوجهات المجتمعية تجاه ممارسة تشويه الأعضاء التناسلية للإناث (الختان).
بحلول 2030، سيكون أكثر من ثلث كل المواليد حول العالم متركزين في 30 بلدا يُمارس فيه تشويه الأعضاء التناسلية للإناث. لذا فبدون تسريع وتيرة التقدم لحماية العدد المتنامي من الفتيات المهددات بالخضوع لهذه الممارسة الضارة في تلك البلدان، سيكون من الممكن أن تتعرض ملايين الفتيات لعملية قطع الأعضاء التناسلية بحلول 2030.

UNFPA is using theater-based techniques to change social attitudes towrads Female Genital Mutilation in the Arab region.
By 2030, more than a third of all births worldwide will be in the 30 countries where female genital mutilation is practiced. Without accelerated progress to protect the growing number of girls at risk of this harmful practice in these countries, millions of girls could be cut by 2030.
