Cracking the silence on comprehensive sexuality education - Innovative panel discussion

The UNFPA Arab States Regional Office is delighted to welcome you to a virtual panel discussion titled ‘CRACKING THE SILENCE TO PROMOTE COMPREHENSIVE SEXUALITY EDUCATION IN THE ARAB REGION!’ on Tuesday 30 November at 3:00 pm Cairo time (8:00 am EST).

The event seeks innovative ways to address comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) in the Arab region - an issue that’s considered complex and challenging in the ِArab region.

UNFPA & Tunisia sign an agreement to launch the Centre of Excellence for Youth in the Arab Region

The  UNFPA Arab States Regional Office and the Government of Tunisia will host a hybrid official event to sign an agreement to host and launch the Centre of Excellence for Youth in the Arab Region. Participants from twenty Arab countries will join the event virtually.

اليوم الدولي للقضاء على ناسور الولادة

ناسور الولادة هو واحد من أخطر الإصابات وأكثرها مأساوية التي يمكن أن تحدث أثناء الولادة. 

والناسور هو خرق بين قناة الولادة والمثانة أو المستقيم بسبب الولادة الطويلة والمتعسرة.

وتتسبب هذه الحالة في سلسل البول، مما يؤدي إلى نبذ مجتمعاتهن لهن. وتعاني المصابات بالناسور من الاكئتاب والعزلة الاجتماعية واشتداد الفقر. وربما عانت بعض النساء من هذه الحالة لسنوات طويلة — وربما لعقود — بسبب عجزهن عن السعي للعلاج.
